The community provides. Members of the Lansing community and beyond provide financial contributions to our pool, allowing us to help even more displaced persons, and for necessities, such as toiletries, detergent, new-home kits, and food for our Free Food Pantry. The Umoja House is a B-Corporation which allows us to provide direct cash assistance to individuals no matter their specific needs.
Others provide direct mutual aid by donating necessities, such as food for our Free Food Pantry, bedding, tents, etc. While others use their technical skills to help with case management, gardening, and housing repairs.
